Search for D0 decay into muon pair at hadron machines

I'm going to make a short overview about a possibility to study the Flavor-Changing Neutral Current (FCNC) decay D⁰ -> \mu^+ \mu^- at hadron machines. Report on a search of D⁰ -> \mu^+ mu^- decay using 5.2 * 10⁶ \mu^+ \mu^- events recorded with di-lepton trigger in interactions of 920 GeV protons with nuclei by the HERA-B experiment during the 2002-2003 HERA running period will be presented. Some perspectives for the search of this decay at LHCb will be shortly discussed.
