B_s Mixing Observation at CDF

We give an overview of the measurement performed by the CDF experiment at the Tevatron collider that recently allowed the definitive observation of the flavor oscillation phenomenon in the B⁰_s- \bar B⁰_s system.
Random fluctuations have now been excluded at the 5.4 \sigma level and the oscillation frequency measured with 0.7 % precision.
We will also discuss measurements that currently constrain the B_s mixing phase,
and the future prospects for B_s physics at the Tevatron.
