Description
Only a few years after the discovery of the Higgs boson, experiments at the LHC are just beginning to explore the Higgs sector to determine if electroweak symmetry breaking occurs as predicted in the Standard Model. One of the long-term goals of the LHC is mapping out the Higgs potential by studying the Higgs boson self-coupling. In the shorter term, studies of pair production of Higgs bosons can also explore potential new physics models. I will motivate such searches and then discuss the latest results from the ATLAS experiment involving hh final states, and will conclude with some thoughts on future prospects for such analyses.
