Top quark mass effects in Higgs boson pair production

The status of precision calculations and their automation will be briefly reviewed, focusing on recent developments. Then a phenomenological analysis of the next-to-leading order (two-loop) corrections to Higgs boson pair production will be presented, where the effects of the full top quark mass dependence as well as parton shower effects will be discussed, comparing results produced by the combination of the full NLO calculation with the three generators Powheg+Pythia, MG5_aMC@NLO+Pythia and Sherpa.
