Diagnostics for plasma accelerators

The acceleration of particles in the wakefield created in a plasma has been suggested more than 30 years ago. Results of the past few years have shown that this technique is now capable of producing high energy beams. During this seminar I will discuss recent efforts done in Oxford to develop diagnostics suitable for these beams and the tests of these diagnostics at classical accelerators. I will also discuss possible developments that could be done by the particle physics community in this area and the type of beams that could be produced.
